{our 1st anniversary trip}

Displaying photo.JPG
This past weekend we celebrated our first year of marriage in Savannah. To say that I fell in love with the charm that the little town offered would be an understatement. It would also be a lie if I said we did not eat and drink our way entirely through the town. Some of the best meals we've ever had! This post is rather picture heavy, so stay with me.

When we first got into town it was a positively gorgeous day (the entire weekend for that matter) so we stopped into Moon River Brewing Company. The food was meh but the beers were excellent and I loved the beer garden where we sat.

Following, we walked and shopped and walked and shopped some more. I'm pretty sure Austin was going to kill me if I said "lets stop in one last shop" one more time. Oops? My favorite shop I came across was The Paris Market. Such an adorable display of perfumes, candles, soaps, decor, the works. I. wanted. everything.

That evening we decided to stop into a few spots for a few too many  couple cocktails before our dinner reservation. To say that we were spoiled rotten all weekend is putting it lightly. Somehow every stop knew it was our wedding anniversary and we had entirely too many treats.

Thank you so much to the sweet staff at The Bohemian Hotel for this pre-dinner dessert!

The cocktails at both Bohemian and Andaz were beyond spectacular and send us into dinner at Alligator Soul feeling great ;-) The staff was so sweet and had this little box of treats waiting on our table upon our arrival. Too cute.

The spoiling continued with champagne in our room when we got home!

Sunday (our actual anniversary) we took full advantage of the city and saw all of the sites it had to offer. Talk about gorgeous. We even made a wish at the fountain for our next year of marriage

The champagne continued through the afternoon when we sliced up our wedding cake. Yall, it was still just as delicious! I was shocked. Kudos to my mom. We also exchanged gifts, and I must brag on my man for a moment. He surprised me with diamonds! I approve. ;-)

We got ready for dinner that evening and I wore my wedding shoes and rehearsal dinner dress. Why not right?! Our evening was filled with way too much good food and the incredible atmosphere that we really didnt even take many pictures. Dinner at The Mansion at Forsyth Park was incredible to say the least. I'm missing the weekend already!

{i'm back}

Apologies for the hiatus. To say things have been crazy on our end is an understatement. I started my new job last Tuesday and since then it has been full throttle. Between juggling the new work environment and learning all there is to learn about my new position comes with a lot of long ass days. So, to be honest, at the end of my days, I focus more on wine than I do this little blog. So, my apologies.

This weekend, my husband and I are traveling down to Savannah for a long weekend. Our one year wedding anniversary is this Sunday, April 27th and I am so excited to celebrate. Neither of us have spent a lot of time there so we are so excited to explore. I have a long list of things I want to see/do and dinner reservations have been made for the evenings we are there. We are playing brunch/lunch by ear, so if there are any must-try places to go, let me know! :) As always, you can follow along our adventure on Instagram!

Enjoy your almost Friday!

{weekend}

Displaying photo 5.JPG

This past weekend was for the books. One of those weekends that you miss before its even over. 8 of us headed down to Charleston for to celebrate our bachelorette and the weather could not have been any more perfect. Our days were spent poolside lounging with cocktails and our evenings out pretending like we were in college again on King Street. This post is quite picture heavy!

Friday evening we had dinner reservations at the iconic, Husk. It was so picturesque, the girls kept saying "there is just so much Instagram here!" Hilarious but so insanely true. I snapped a few pictures, but could have taken way more. Oh, and we got to eat dinner beside Will Smith, so that was neat.

That evening was spent pretending like we were 22 again..

Saturday was quite similar to Friday with many drinks by the pool and out until the owls quit hooting (I'm still paying for it today)

Sunday we wrapped up the weekend on Sullivan's Island (which I am now entirely convinced is where we need to live...for like ever) I've begun the begging the husband phase. So, that was my weekend! Today is spent spoiling our golden retriever rotten as she turns 5 today :)

Happy Monday!

{I'm off!}

Ocean view. #architecture #charleston

I guess the title of today's post goes two ways. It is my last (half day) at my current job and I am also heading down to Charleston to celebrate a college friend getting married next month. I am excited to be reunited with my college girls for lots of sunshine, wine (duh) and catching up. Charleston is one of my top 5 favorite places to visit and I am excited to spend 3 days entirely relaxing. You can follow along on instagram for pictures of my trip!

Short and sweet today, folks. Enjoy your weekend!

#beginning #inspiration

The past week has been somewhat of a blur for many reasons. Tomorrow is my last day at my current job. I am quite bittersweet feeling about it, but could not be any more excited for what is to come. I am so grateful for my experiences in the past year and will miss the friendships I have made so much. However, I cannot wait to start my new role (and devote a little more time to the blog). So, that's what is going on in my world as of lately!

I am so excited to experience all is to come out of it and I will report back on updates as they come :)

{bikini cravings}

Ever since I picked up a Mara Hoffman suit a week or so ago, I have been full-throttle on swimwear. Anthropologie is absolutely killing it in the swimwear world. I cannot get enough and need absolutely every last one.

1} Because everyone needs a polka dot bikini
2} You can never have too many ruffles. Comes in black and white too.
3} Its so tough to just pick one Mara Hoffman suit to love, this one was a close second.
4} This suit seems to be popping up everywhere and is bound to be all over this summer. Many sizes are sold out, but fear not, many other stores carry it as well.

Which is your favorite?

{weekend}

How was your weekend? Ours was spent partly in Raleigh and partly with my in-laws. Friday boasted some gorgeous weather so we met with some friends for dinner and drinks outdoors. Don't you love this time of year? Saturday, we traveled to the in-laws to visit with family. Which is also where we took this picture of Bailey. Doesn't she look just the happiest, ever? She had a pretty great weekend, too.

Keeping it short and sweet today. It's raining and its Monday. Need I say more? At least this adorable romper is sure to brighten up your day. It screams date night if I've ever heard of such.

{weekly roundup}

Happy Friday, gals! We finally made it. I plan to spend the weekend enjoying this Spring/Summer-like weather and test out a few new cocktail recipes. Who is with me? Here's this week's links:

1} I spent this week revamping our guest room and loved Domino's article on making guests feel welcome, but not too welcome of course ;-)

2} It got up to 86 this week. Which led me to bust out my favorite summertime recipes. Make this, you won't be disappointed. Cucumber and Feta? Win.

3} This kitchen is everything and more. We've discussed my love for a white kitchen, but the elegant simplicity of this one is beyond. Those pendants are everything.

4} Pom-poms are just the cutest, no? I think I need to make this cover-up mine!

5} Last, but most certainly not least...this Anthropologie candle. We know their candles never ever disappoint and this one certainly doesn't either! Coconut & Sea Salt...yes please!

Enjoy your weekend!

{sales worth shopping}

Bloomingdale's Friends and Family is going on right this moment. Use code FANDF to get 20% off your entire purchase. It's too good to pass up. I may or may not have indulged in the sale (stocking up for summer if you will)

 I picked up this Mara Hoffman Bikini on mega savings. Treat yo'self. It's on backorder until May, but I have some other goodies to get me through :)

Also, if you are a Sephora VIB like myself, starting tomorrow you get 15% off all purchases (online and in-store) using code VIBTICKET. My cart is stocked and ready for the sale to start.

It is going to be pushing 85 degrees today and I cannot wait to soak in the sunshine. I am also heading in for some blonding and a fresh cut. Good day, yes?

Happy Wednesday!
