ultimate beauty routine game changer

After using the sample just once I knew I had to share this. I received a sample of it in my most recent Birchbox and ya'll, I shit you not, it is a complete game changer. I have combination skin and this stuff was incredible. Not only did it do its job of minimizing the appearance of my pores, but it was an incredible primer and kept my makeup on all day long. It is so light going on (think like a whipped texture) that I actually look forward to applying it. At the end of the first day, I knew I needed the full size. You can buy it here, or keep an eye out on Amazon, because it can be less. It is a little pricey for just one ounce, but a little bit goes a long way. It is officially part of my daily routine now and there is no looking back.

{current etsy favorites}

I have mentioned on here before that Etsy can be a touch overwhelming at times and I love to see others favorites. I wanted to share some items (and shops) I'm currently loving.

Earthy AGATE Coasters -- FREE Shipping in USA, 4 Brown Grey Red Cream Crystal Geode Slices, With Silver Edges -- Wedding Holiday Grad Gift
I recently came across some agate coasters on Etsy for about double the price of these. And free shipping, always a great perk!
The price for this item WITH the monogram is unheard of. Typically it costs $45 just for a pretty monogram that size. And hurry over to Julia's blog for a giveaway on them today!
XL white monogram Greek key border light blue ottoman tray
I need this tray for so many reasons. Yes, please!
Original Bird Heron Watercolour Painting // "Watchful Heron" 5x7" Watercolour Paper
I adore this watercolor for our kitchen and picture it on a cute little easel on the counter.
PAIR Modern Geometric Print Cotton Decorative Pillow Cover 18x18, 20x20 Square Throw Pillow, Accent Pillow, Toss Pillow
This price for a pair of pillow covers is truly insane. I'm loving them for a couch refresh for Spring.

{weekend}

Displaying photo 1.JPG
This weekend flew by for us. Friday, being Valentines day we celebrated dinner at Bia. To say we were underwhelmed is putting it lightly. The food itself was very flavorful, but the portions were ridiculously small, so don't go hungry, and the wait staff was less than helpful. Their standard menu was not offered (which we weren't told) but nevertheless, a lot of champagne was drank and we were on to the next spot for after dinner cocktails.

Saturday I spent the day shopping with a girlfriend, those types of days are the best aren't they? Don't get me wrong, shopping with the hubs can be fun too ;-) however, sometimes girl time is just needed! I stocked up on some great spring items that really make me look forward to the 70 degree temperatures we are to have this week (!!!).

Saturday evening we headed to dinner at Jimmy V's which was a much better experience than dinner the evening prior. We had some of the best calamari I think I've ever tasted and watched them bake our pizza right in front of us. Delish.

Yesterday was spent on the couch all day for the majority of the day watching season 2 of House of Cards. My mind was blown after just the first episode and the other 5 we watched after that...I can't wait for more.

happy day of love

♡

I must say, I actually adore Valentines Day. I know some may call it "cheesy" or whatever, but any excuse to wear loads of pink & red and get fresh flowers from my husband is a good day. I am counting the hours until we pop champagne as husband and wife for our first Valentines day. I am looking forward to a low key dinner at Bia as neither of us have ever been and with this snow its been awhile since I've left the house!

Since Austin most likely will not see this until after I have gifted this to him, I figured I would share Valentines Day gift ideas for him. I am really excited to give him this razor from Harry's. I love the masculine look to it, and anything with his initials engraved on it is a win in my book. This was my first time ordering from Harry's and I will most definitely be back. Their customer service is amazing and shipping is super fast! I also picked up a few pairs of festive Valentine boxers from Banana Republic and some of his favorite grooming products from Blue Mercury.

Happy Weekend Lovers :)

the most versatile dress ever?

It's no secret J. Crew is a fantastic resource for all things versatile. This dress is no different. I came across it recently and literally think I need all colors. Blue for summer weddings, black for date night and orange for all things in between. Yes, please! I also get the feeling it could sell out quickly, so get it while you can ladies!

weekend {picture heavy}

Displaying photo 2.JPG
This past weekend, I traveled down to the coast to spend time with a dear friend of mine and her sweet baby boy (and golden retriever fur child, Brumby). We've been friends "for a lifetime" as both of our moms have been best friends since college! It was so much fun to unwind and relax at the coast.

This post is a touch picture heavy but there were so many photos to be taken. Friday evening, a delicious fresh dinner (and homemade pasta!) was prepared with a plethora of wine. It was a fantastic way to unwind. For those of you asking on Instagram, all of the dishware shown is Vietri. Austin and I registered for Vietri as our "everyday" before we got married and have absolutely loved it as it can be dressed up or down.

Saturday was rainy, so we found it the perfect opportunity to do some thrift shopping in Beaufort. I absolutely adore Beaufort and often daydream of owning a little cottage by the water. There were so many great pieces, and I'm really excited about the things I picked up! I'm hoping to get some wood refinishing done this weekend.

Blue & White Heaven

Saturday afternoon the rain cleared and made way to the most gorgeous sunset. I was too busy enjoying it with a glass of wine to take a picture of the actual sunset, but this shot is equally as gorgeous.

I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a very happy Valentines week!

{wednesday wisdom}

Each Wednesday (well hopefully each week) I want to share a quote that relates especially to what I'm feeling. I feel like your mid-twenties can be a whirlwind of exciting moments and at the same time stressful ones of wondering "if I'm on the right path." I absolutely love this quote for so many reasons and it really hit home with me right now.
