{latest obsessions}

1. I finally bit the bullet and bought a S'well water bottle in gold. Ya'll, don't know what I ever did without it. Should be just right for boat cocktails over the 4th ;-)

2. How cute are these? I keep thinking I need to add them to our bar cart...

3. I wore this dress in Charleston this past weekend and just know I will get so much wear out of it all summer long. It is literally perfect for any occasion. Dressy Rehearsal dinner? Evening boat ride? Done.

4. Picked this up over the weekend in the "rose" scent and have been burning it constantly. Rewined, you've done it again.

5. I added a couple of prints to our gallery wall from AESTATE from Furbish a couple of weeks ago. I love it all and am convinced I could add a few more ;-)

6. These had me at pineapple. And are the perfect addition to our kitchen counter.

That's all.

Weekend

How cute are these welcome bags? Ya'll, those macaroons were no freaking joke. So good!
This past weekend, we ventured down to Charleston to celebrate the marriage of two very special friends. Charleston is totally my happy place. In light of the tragic event in the past week, it was incredible to see how the community really banded together to help console one another in such a dark time. We made a walk by the church, and seeing everyone comforting one another made me appreciate Charleston even more than I every have.

The 100+ degree heat index did not hold us down. We successfully ate (and drank) our way through the Holy City. As always, it was a blast and we can't wait to travel back down again (hopefully) soon!

My Dress is Anthropologie which you can shop here
The rehearsal welcome dinner was hosted at the Charleston Distilling Co, which if you haven't been, is the neatest little spot! They make all of their liquor in house, and of course had to bring home a bottle of their specialty vodka for our bar cart. It had me at adorable label.

I also made a couple of stops during a shopping trip on Friday and if you haven't shopped Candlefish before, you must stop in. Over 100 custom scents in their library. It was heaven on earth. Excited to light my new goodies at home to remind us of our trip.

Nitrotini's at the Market Pavilion were a must for a break in the heat on Saturday

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Historic Rice Mill. Every angle of this space was stunning. From the outdoor ceremony space to the sprawling water views out the back deck. Absolutely stunning

Sunday morning, before heading out of town, we stopped into Edmund's Oast for our final meal of the trip. I did not hate it. It was amazing. I highly recommend for anyone traveling down!

Happy Monday!

{paint it black}

I'll be the first to admit I would have severe anxiety opening up a can of black paint when it comes to our house. Its just so...dark. Until now. I am borderline obsessed with black trim for interior/exterior and everything in-between. Dare I paint our kitchen door black in an all white kitchen? It's definitely a thought on the front burner right now. Here are some looks I love.

my go to necklace

I usually keep it pretty simple when it comes to accessories and like to layer dainty pieces together and don't typically gravitate towards statement pieces. Then, I met this necklace. It pairs both delicate and light like I love, and added pizzazz to any outfit like a statement piece would. I first received it in my Rocksbox (first mentioned here!) and instantly loved it. The best part? Its sold out on Shopbop and at a great discount through the Rocksbox service. I ended up keeping the piece because I literally have been wearing it 2-3x per week! It goes with that much. This is my first Jules Smith piece and I have a feeling I'm going to become addicted.

Also, in case you missed it, if you sign up for Rocksbox and use my special code "latiblogxoxo" the ladies over there will send you your first month free! You've really got nothing to lose!

{summer beauty staple}

I say this as Summer beauty staple, but I really think I may end up using this product all year round. Hi, my name is Katie and I'm a beauty product hoarder. I will be the first to admit. I have literally tried nearly everything. Which is what brings me to this post. It serves me right to find the most perfect addition to my makeup routine and it be less than $15. Take that, Chanel foundation. I digress.

Enter, Physicians Formula CC Cream (I wear the shade light). I typically have naturally oily skin that I have to control throughout the day, and typically cant use BB or CC creams due to the extra oily feeling it leaves on my skin. This product by Physicians Formula is amazing. You can buy it here at Ulta (and even works with the $3.50 off $10 purchase coupons!). I bought a beauty blender sponge with it and it's completely transformed my makeup routine.

Simply apply a dime sized amount on the sponge and blend all over. It provides the perfect amount of coverage without being too light or too cakey. I apply after my moisturizer has set in, and this also packs an SPF of 20! The blender sponge is perfect in areas around your eyes and nose, so I definitely recommend using a sponge to apply. For any extra coverage needed for blemishes, I use a tiny bit of spot concealer once I've applied the CC cream and you're ready to go. If you're slightly oily like me, I apply Chanel Double Perfection Lumiere to mattify and you're out the door! Boom.
