{kitchen additions}

Once we painted our kitchen Zurich White, I knew I needed a pop of color somewhere to break things up. Don't get me wrong, I looove an all white space, but it just felt like it needed somethin' somethin'. I had searched new, vintage, import and domestic for the perfect runner. I knew I wanted something full of color, thin pile without too much fuss and certainly unique. Enter the "Elodie" rug -- a collab between Lulu & Georgia and The Glitter Guide!

I didn't even have to think twice (the Mr. doesn't even mind the pink!) A week later, it arrived and I couldnt love it more! Even these fur balls approve ;-)

Get it while you can, sizes are selling quickly and its only for a limited time!

T.G.I.F

We made it to Friday. It's the little victories, right?! Here's what I loved this week.

Made these and the hubs ate them right up. Couldn't believe it!

We booked a fall "first house" photography session and I'm so excited. We have a couple locations scouted out, but how cute is this porch shot inspo?!

This was a find through a fellow blogger's page this week and the price point was a no brainer. Can one ever have too many striped tee's? Pick it up before the sale ends!

Loved this read on tips and tricks for outfitting small spaces. #smithlovenest approved.

Who doesn't love Lo Bosworth? Her Youtube channel is perfection. This video is amazing if you're like me and end up in bed at night with wet hair!

If you haven't added "Pink Martini" as a Pandora station, you probably should (if you want to) add it before your next kitchen session. It's been my most favorite cooking station!

Oh, and this

Happy Weekending!

{travel tuesday}

I'm so excited that the Mr. and I have booked his 30th birthday getaway in October! We are excited to be spending 5 days in Napa Valley and wrapping up our trip in San Francisco! If there are any must eat/do/drink places, please let us know! We plan to be rolled out of there! ;-) We booked the most darling rustic cottage for our stay and can't wait to drink ALL the wine. Seems like the only way to celebrate a 30th birthday, really.

But really, let us know what's a must do!

Nordstrom Picks

So, I'm sure you're aware there's a sale going on. A rather large, incredibly amazing sale. You can scroll through Instagram or your favorite blogs for two seconds and see everyone's "must haves"...to that, I am sharing my purchases below that I have been absolutely thrilled with so far. Its so dangerous this sale goes on for a couple more weeks as I keep browsing!

These leggings are no joke. I first bought them last year during the anniversary sale and knew I should stock up again this year. They are super thick and dont stretch out!

These Paige Jeans may be the softest jeans ever! They are the perfect blend of soft but still structured enough to make you feel put together. I've already worn them twice despite our crazy hot weather

So, I actually ordered this in the cognac color, but its now sold out! At the price point, it doesn't surprise me! It reminds me so much of the Madewell tote I've lusted after, at a fraction of the cost. Can't wait to use it for all of our upcoming Fall trips. Similar here and here

There are a few colors left for this sweater, I picked up a couple of colors that will pair perfectly with leggings.

These crops are amazing! I almost love them more than my Lulu's

Also, now is the time to stock up on these candle sets! I pick them up each year as they make wonderful last minute hostess gifts!

Do you have any favorites?

{latest obsessions}

1. I finally bit the bullet and bought a S'well water bottle in gold. Ya'll, don't know what I ever did without it. Should be just right for boat cocktails over the 4th ;-)

2. How cute are these? I keep thinking I need to add them to our bar cart...

3. I wore this dress in Charleston this past weekend and just know I will get so much wear out of it all summer long. It is literally perfect for any occasion. Dressy Rehearsal dinner? Evening boat ride? Done.

4. Picked this up over the weekend in the "rose" scent and have been burning it constantly. Rewined, you've done it again.

5. I added a couple of prints to our gallery wall from AESTATE from Furbish a couple of weeks ago. I love it all and am convinced I could add a few more ;-)

6. These had me at pineapple. And are the perfect addition to our kitchen counter.

That's all.

Weekend

How cute are these welcome bags? Ya'll, those macaroons were no freaking joke. So good!
This past weekend, we ventured down to Charleston to celebrate the marriage of two very special friends. Charleston is totally my happy place. In light of the tragic event in the past week, it was incredible to see how the community really banded together to help console one another in such a dark time. We made a walk by the church, and seeing everyone comforting one another made me appreciate Charleston even more than I every have.

The 100+ degree heat index did not hold us down. We successfully ate (and drank) our way through the Holy City. As always, it was a blast and we can't wait to travel back down again (hopefully) soon!

My Dress is Anthropologie which you can shop here
The rehearsal welcome dinner was hosted at the Charleston Distilling Co, which if you haven't been, is the neatest little spot! They make all of their liquor in house, and of course had to bring home a bottle of their specialty vodka for our bar cart. It had me at adorable label.

I also made a couple of stops during a shopping trip on Friday and if you haven't shopped Candlefish before, you must stop in. Over 100 custom scents in their library. It was heaven on earth. Excited to light my new goodies at home to remind us of our trip.

Nitrotini's at the Market Pavilion were a must for a break in the heat on Saturday

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Historic Rice Mill. Every angle of this space was stunning. From the outdoor ceremony space to the sprawling water views out the back deck. Absolutely stunning

Sunday morning, before heading out of town, we stopped into Edmund's Oast for our final meal of the trip. I did not hate it. It was amazing. I highly recommend for anyone traveling down!

Happy Monday!

{paint it black}

I'll be the first to admit I would have severe anxiety opening up a can of black paint when it comes to our house. Its just so...dark. Until now. I am borderline obsessed with black trim for interior/exterior and everything in-between. Dare I paint our kitchen door black in an all white kitchen? It's definitely a thought on the front burner right now. Here are some looks I love.
